| About Me | We moved to Vermont at the end of 1978. My husband is a CPA and became a partner in a firm in St. Johnsbury, VT. We live in Danville, a village nearby. We have renovated two houses in Danville, and currently we live in a house that was built in 1808! This is its bicentennial year. We raised our three children there: Gabriel and Rachel, twins; and Solomon. Currently Gabriel lives in Salt Lake City where he works as a valet to fund his artistic endeavors as a documentary film maker. Rachel is an artist who recently married. She is living in Waterbury, VT. Solomon is presently a teacher who works with his wife for a private middle school for boys in Deerfield, MA. They are building a house in Danville on a lot that we bought a number of years ago. While we were raising our children, my husband, Dwight, and I started a community newspaper--The North Star Monthly. My that was fun! To help fund college, however, we sold the newspaper (which is still in existance) and I went back to teaching high school and middle school English. My retirement from that was last spring after 12 1/2 years. We bought a house in Julesburg, CO, as our semi-retirement home. This is Dwight's hometown. It is an old home and we have once again enjoyed our renovation skills. Since we only plan on being here for three months of every year, we have lightly furnished it and at present are sleeping on mattresses on the floor. HA! What fun! It is like being newly married all over again. Dwight's parents are still living in Julesburg, so we are enjoying time spent with them.
