About Me	I joined the Marine Corp after high school. When I returned home I played football for the Skagit Valley Raiders and rugby for Chuckanut Bay Geoducks and the Skagit valley Steelheads. I joined the Carpenters Union and apprenticed in Washington while working for Fisher & Sons before leaving the state in 1982 for Anchorage, Alaska. I joined local 1281 (Carpenters Union) and I'm still a member. I played rugby for several teams in Anchorage for seven years. I married Deb Ward in 1987. She retired last year after working with the Anchorage School District for 30 years as a school psychologist. We have two children, Dylan and Clay who are now young adults living in Anchorage. Dylan is a mechanic for the Alaska Dept. of Transportation, maintaining the firefighting equipment at the Anchorage International Airport. He is married to a preschool teacher and they have a son, Olin, who was born in 2015. Clay has an associate's degree in Culinary Arts from the University of Alaska. I'm not doing commercial construction work at this time. For the last 15 years I have owned a small business called Fine Carpentry.
