About Me	I joined the Marine Corp after high school. When I returned home I played football for the Skagit Valley Raiders and rugby for Chuckanut Bay Geoducks and the Skagit valley Steelheads. I joined the Carpenters Union and apprenticed in Washington while working for Fisher & Sons before leaving the state in 1982 for Anchorage, Alaska. I joined local 1281 (Carpenters Union) and I'm still a member. I played rugby for several teams in Anchorage for seven years. I married Deb Ward in 1987. She retired last year after working with the Anchorage School District for 30 years as a school psychologist. We have two children, Dylan and Clay who are now young adults living in Anchorage. Dylan is a mechanic for the Alaska Dept. of Transportation, maintaining the firefighting equipment at the Anchorage International Airport. He is married to a preschool teacher and they have a son, Olin, who was born in 2015. Clay has an associate's degree in Culinary Arts from the University of Alaska.
