Mary Jane Pleva of Norristown Mary Jane (Taucher) Pleva, beloved wife of Thomas David Pleva, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the age of 59. She was born May 29, 1956 in Washington, PA. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Paul) Taucher of Norristown, PA, formerly of Burgettstown, PA. Mary Jane was a 1974 graduate of Burgettstown Area High School and a 1978 graduate of California University of PA with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Mary Jane was previously employed as a computer analyst by Burroughs Systems in Malvern, Fisher and Porter in Horsham, and IKEA in Plymouth Meeting. Mary Jane is survived by her husband Thomas, her son Thomas of Socorro, NM, her daughter and son-in-law Amy and Ethan Cornely of Eagleville, two granddaughters Chloe and Carolyn Cornely, two sister, Linda Taucher of Eagleville, Elizabeth and husband William Grabania of West Chester, two brother-in-laws Joseph Pleva of San Ramon, CA, Jim and wife Gina of Pottsville, nieces Lisa and Nicole Pleva of Harrisburg, Erin (Grabania) and husband Michael Bastidas of Phoenixville, and Tara (Grabania) and husband David DeCicco of Sellersville, and several grandnieces and nephews. Mary Jane had a love for arts, especially knitting and movies. She was an avid baker always creating desserts and breads. Mary Jane always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be sorely missed.
Events Relatives and friends are invited to Mary Jane’s Life Celebration service on Thursday September 3, from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 9 to 10:15 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM on Friday at Visitation B.V.M. on Trooper Rd. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Jane’s name can be made to American Cancer Society or the SPCA of Conshohocken.
