Awards include: Bronze Star, Meritorious service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), Good Conduct Medal, and various service ribbons. Retired 1983 as LTC.

Served from 1961 to 1967. I was lucky. I didn't go to Viet Nam. 4th Marine Division stood by from 1/15/65 to 7/30/65 to go to Viet Nam. President Johnson had the division stand down 7/30/65. I was real lucky.
