| About Me | I've had a great life with several chapters and careers. For 18 years I published a monthly magazine on antique and collectible glass; was a graphic artist for a weekly publication, and for 17 years was a legal proofreader (and eventual paralegal) for an environmental systems research institute. Along the way, I married Ben Shaeffer, had one daughter, divorced, and was single 20+ years before marrying Steve Smith in 2002. I retired in Feb., 2007 and two months later opened my own storefront business, an eBay consignment store. After a year it became just too much to handle so I closed the store and decided to sell just our items on eBay from home … which I still do! On May 13, 2017 Steve passed away … forcing me to begin a new chapter in my life ... one that has been made easier by me moving to Redlands, CA, where my brother, sister, and daughter (and their families) live.
