About	We lost Penny just after Christmas break ended our Junior year. For those who may not remember, this is what the Huntsville Times reported on Wednesday, January 7, 1987: "One-Car Accident Claims City Teen -- A teenager killed in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning has been identified as Penny R. Smith, 17, of Huntsville, according to State Troopers. A trooper spokesman said she was killed after she apparently lost control of her car on Riverton Road and crashed into a utility pole about 2 1/2 miles north of Huntsville." The funeral was held Thursday January 8, 1987 at Spry Funeral Home.
