About Me	After graduating from BUHS, I attended WVWC and graduated in December of 1972 with a BS in Home Economics and Secondary Education. In February of 1973, I began my teaching career in Harford County, Maryland. I continued my education at Towson State University and received an MEd in secondary education. After twelve years of teaching home economics, however, I decided it was time for a change. I returned to Towson to pursue certification in school library media programs and acquired another masters degree in Instructional Technology. While living in Harford County, I met and married my husband, Chuck. We have one daughter, Laura. I also have four step-children, Diana, Joyce, Beth, and Scott. When our daughter was two and a half, my husband suffered a stroke, which left him unable to continue his teaching career. We decided to move to western Maryland to be closer to our parents. In Allegany County, I continued my career as a school library media specialist until I retired in June 2007 after 34 1/2 years of teaching.
