| About Me | I joined the Coast Guard in Dec. '68 After serving 6 months on a ship, I spent the rest of my 4 yr enlistment at a radar station in San Fransisco. After leaving the Coast Guard in December of 1972, I worked breifly with a friend on his farm until being hired by Western Auto in March of 1973 to work at their new Distribution center in Delaware. In August of 1975 I married Patt, a "Delaware Hayes" girl. We adopted our son Ben at 2 weeks old in 1985. Our 1st grandchild (a boy) was born in October of 2006, and our 2nd was a girl born in November of 2008. November 20th of 2008 was my last day at Advance Auto Parts. After over 35 years, my postion was eliminated due to economic down-turn, and restructuring management staff. I am currently looking for something to hold me over until retirement (6 - 7 years).
