Buchholz Class of 1980 Thirty Year Reunion Itinerary Dates: July 30, 31, Aug 1 Friday, July 30th 7pm-10pm Splitz Bowling at Funworks Entertainment http://www.bowlsplitz.com/ 1311 NW 76th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606 Plan on attending this casual evening of eating, drinking and playing at Splitz Bowling Center located at the Funworks Entertainment complex! Dress will be "Swinging 70's" with prizes awarded for the best outfits. Your Reunion Fees cover dinner and non-alcoholic drinks for the evening. Bring the kids for a night of fun! Arcade games, bowling, laser tag and alcoholic drinks are self-pay. We will have a special DVD playing old photos from High School, and plenty of 70's music to take you back in time. Saturday, July 31st 10am - 2pm Poe Springs Pavilion #3 http://www.naturequest-usa.com/ 28800 NW 182nd Ave High Springs, FL 32643-2711 (386) 454-1992 Saturday afternoon we'll spend down by the beautiful springs at Poe Springs. Your Reunion Fees will cover a picnic lunch and drinks at the springs. We will be set up at Pavilion #3 which is down by the water. Entry fees are not included in Reunion Fees, and probably need to be in cash, so be sure to bring some bills along for the trip. There is NO ALCOHOL on premises Entry Fee is $5.00 per person/children 4 & under are free Rental Fee for Canoes, Kayak ($20/ 2 hrs. or $30/4hrs) & Tubes ($10), bring ID for rental (probably cash only) We'll have some music (radio/CD player), but if you can play guitar please bring it along! They have volley ball, kick ball for our use or we can bring our own toys. Dress is "Dressy Casual" but many of these facilities are highly air-conditioned so bring a sweater! Reunion Fees will cover food and non-alcoholic drinks for the evening, as well as Tom Collett (a former Bobcat!) who will be our DJ for the evening, door prizes, and entertainment. Harry's Seafood Bar & Grill will be catering with heavy appetizers so bring your appetite for some fabulous food! After our celebration, if you are still in a party mood, downtown Gainesville awaits! There are over a dozen fun places to go within easy walking distance of our hotel. Sunday, August 1st 11am - ? Harry's Seafood Bar & Grill http://www.hookedonharrys.com/ 110 S.E. 1st Street Gainesville, FL 32601 (352) 372-1555 Sunday morning we decided that instead of packing up and leaving right away, some of us would like to meet for a goodbye lunch! This is a "self-pay" event, and can be as little or as much as you like. Harry's is just across the street from the Hampton Inn Downtown, so it should be an easy walk for those who are staying at the hotel. We will have a Guest Book at the Friday and Saturday evening events for you to sign. Please indicate in the guest book if you will be joining us on Sunday morning so we can prepare the restaurant with an estimate of how many will dine. For those who will need hotel reservations, please be sure to take care of this sooner rather than later. The Hampton Inn Downtown has given us some discounted rooms for $119.00 per night (booking under "BHS1980"), but there are only a few rooms left; June 30th is the cut-off date for these "first come, first served" rooms. After that, they will be released to the general public. Please also keep in mind that there will be a large conference that weekend of Jehovah Witnesses, so many of the hotel rooms will be booked. Cost of entire event is $75.00 per person, which includes Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening. If you should choose to only attend one night, cost is $50.00 per person.
