Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rafael was born on April 27, 1966, in Bryan to Rafael Sr. and Dora Pena. Survivors include his parents, Rafael Sr. and Dora Pena; sister, Victoria Pena Montoya; mother of his children, Sandy J. Zavala; sons, Zachary Pena and Rafael D. Pena III; daughters, Sabrina Pena and Kaylynn Pena; son-in-law, Gregory Slayton; stepchildren, Adriana Slayton, Joseph Guzman and Victor Ontiveros; daughters-in-law, Crystal Garcia and Jackie Tabares; nieces, Heather and Jacquelyn Montoya; nephew, Brian Montoya; grandchildren, Elizabeth Slayton, Aiden Ontiveros, Jasmine Guzman and Dalilah Tabares; and special friends, Audrey and Anthony Reed and Jennifer Reed.
