About Me | I am currently the Music Director and soloist for The Chapel of St John the Divine Episcopal Church, Tomkins Cove, New York. I have most recently sung with Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir 6 (2020) "Sing Gently" & Virtual Choir 5 (2018) "Deep Filed", both of which can be found on YouTube. I was in the chorus of several Christmas concerts at Carnegie Hall with the Getty Band. Theatrically, my most notable performance was playing Christine Daae in Broadway's "The Phantom of the Opera" from 1989 -1992. I am sorry to see it close n February 2023. I met my husband in Broadway's, "JOSEPH and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and made my Broadway debut in "Copperfield". I starred at the Kennedy Center twice, once as Maria in "West Side Story" - dancing Jerome Robbins original choreography and directed by him and the original stage manager, Ruth Mitchell; and as Julie in "CAROUSEL", directed by James Hammerstein, Oscar Hammerstein's son. Also with James, I played Eliza in "My Fair Lady", in a tour of Japan with Noel Harrison, Rex Harrison's son as Higgins. In the USA and Canada, I toured as Lily St. Regis in "ANNIE", and was in it's national commercial for 3 years. With the NY Festival of Song, I performed in "The Works of William Bolcom" at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall; and premiered David Lang's, "the public domain" with 1,000 other live singers for their 2016 Mostly Mozart Festival. I sang the Soprano role in Leonard Bernstein's, "Arias and Barcarolles" for its Philadelphia premiere. I was fortunate to have a successful career performing in variety of theatrical and concert appearances. My daughter, Mary Kate, graduated NCSA in acting (2014); and my husband, Jim, is the House Carpenter at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway, currently in charge of the scenery for "Harry Potter, The Cursed Child". My sister, Lee, still lives in Raleigh. My nephew, Zach, is a graduate of West Point, (Class of 2005) served two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, is currently a Lt Colonel and test pilot for the Army stationed at Redston...(read more) |
