Brookvale Elementary School Alumni - Fremont, CA

I can not remember anything about my 3rd grade year in 1978-1979. Who was my teacher? What building was my classroom in--Alpha, Beta, Gamma, or Delta? I know that 4th grade students crossed over the "Double Yellow Lines" of the playground. All grades enjoyed playing In the enormous dirt and grass field which led to American High School. We usually had music in one of the portables. Rainy day P.E. was in the cafeteria square dancing or playing crab soccer in our socks. The Male P.E. teacher was for all grades, I believe, and he frightened me when he would tell at us about him on the asphalt or about the serious physical dangers of running with a pencil in your back pocket. I remember my Elementary peers more clearly and fondly than any other group of friends throughout my life. I wish there was someone else out there who also remembers those years, teachers and friends as fondly and as clearly as I do--except for 3rd grade!
