About Me	With my husband Rocky, our family and I are loving life in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, having moved from Wellington, Florida, in August, 2006. After 22 years in south Florida and three hurricanes within 15 months, it was time for something different. Rocky and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary in January. We have two beautiful, wonderful children: daughter, Kelly (27) and son, Patrick (22). I was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade IV Brain Tumor on July 21, 2008; my surgeries for Brain Tumor and a Brain Aneurysm were July 29 & 30, 2008, respectively. I was then diagnosed with Breast Cancer on September 9, 2008. Surgery for breast cancer was September 30, 2008. I have undergone radiation treatments (33-brain & 10-breast), varied chemotherapy treatments, and now biological medications. On Friday, May 7, 2010, we were told my brain tumor returned. Thankfully, I had a very successful Gamma Knife surgery Wednesday, May 26, 2010. 6+ years post-initial GBM Brain Tumor diagnosis, I’m still here kickin’ and screamin’! Hand in hand with Rocky, my angel of a husband, along with our wonderfully supportive children, family and friends all who have buoyed us through this stormy part of our life, my journey continues with regular chemo treatments, oral chemo meds and MRIs…it is what it is.
