Hillside Elementary is Closing - Hillside Alumni Invited to Celebration of Memories Event on 5/24
The Elmbrook School District may be closing Hillside Elementary in Spring, but the past and present Hillside community is taking steps to make sure that Hillside is not forgotten in Elmbrook anytime soon.
Hillside Elementary is hosting an end of year Hillside Celebration Event on May 24th, 2012 to celebrate all of the wonderful memories over the years. Hillside was first built in 1969. Building level leadership was provided by the following Elementary Principals: Scott Netzel (1969-1992), Joan Marley (1992-1997), and Julie Kremer (1997-2012). Over 3000 students have been educated at Hillside. It was a K-6 school until 1997. In the fall of 1997, 6th graders started attending the Middle School.
Hillside alumni (prior students, families and staff) are encouraged to attend this event this Celebration Event. Donations to the Hillside Student Scholarship Fund will be accepted at the Celebration Event
More information about the event will be posted on the Hillside Elementary website in the coming weeks.

Allen J Johnson
For those of you who had the honor of knowing him,
Mr. Allen J Johnson passed away on Sun April 24, 2011.
He had taught music in the Elmbrrok school district for 34 years, and retired from Brookfield Central HS in 1996 as the band director.
He loved teaching and enjoyed all of his students so much!
Funeral services will be Thurs April 28th 4-8 and Fri 9-10 with a 10:00 service. The obit is in todays journal (April 26)

BCHS Holiday Ornament
