Joe joined the Air Force in 1972. He was a Rustic Forward Air Controller assigned to the 23rd Tactical Air Support Squadron. He was killed in action after only 209 days, on his 24th birthday, April 7, 1973. He is well remembered and missed by all who knew him. A fine officer, a fine man, a good friend.
