| Favorite School Memory | Just one? That's difficult! I guess if involves a school event, it would be the senior band trip to Toronto - lots of fun with all my friends! If it was outside of school, it had to be the many sleepovers. |
| About Me | First I went to Westminster College - lovely school, but not much more to do there than there was in Brockway. Then I got married to Jason (surprise, surprise) and we moved to VA. I taught emotionally disabled students from K-3 for a year. The I taught Kindergarten for 2 years, First Grade for 2 years, Transitional First Grade for 1 year, Third Grade for 3 years, Fifth Grade for 1/2 a year (the 2nd 1/2 in Fourth) and I remain in Fourth Grade today. I thrive on change and love new challenges. I asked for every one of those grade level changes - including the mid-year change when an opening was available. Now that I am done with my Masters, I will be able to teach up to 12th grade if I teach technology, so at least a few more choices will open up....I am running out of choices at the elementary level. Most importantly, we had our daughter, Alyssa. She was 4 months early and only 1 1/2 pounds at birth. After 3 long months in the hospital, she was able to come home - with an oxygen tank and a heart monitor. Now, at 3, she is doing great!
