Rene Wilson Allen
Class of 1977
I remember in ‘gym class’ being encouraged by Dane ‘Boomer’ when I couldn’t keep up with my classmates in running laps.
I was also in field position during a girls field hockey practice game, looking to pass the ball. No teammate in position, so coach stopped the game to talk about importance of being in position.
I decorated bulletin boards and the ultra-high window in the arch out front. I remember that someone was sabotaging the artwork ( I was very much the class underdog and “different”) and announcements were made every morning that anyone caught doing so would be in trouble. Made me even more of a target/freak. Haha
Today I am a confident woman, married and living in NH. I have 3 gkids and have held leadership roles in software companies and in nonprofits alike. Will likely retire next year (2026).
