About	Doug, who died at age 66, earned his BFA from Indiana University and MFA from the University of Illinois In 1973, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he was a professional artist and art teacher at Auston Community College. Survivors included his wife, Linda; son, Aaron; and granddaughter, Lucy.
