About	Classmate Gene Spenny died after long history of heart problems. In August 2014, two months before his death, his kidneys failed and he ended up on dialysis until his death. Gene was in the Air Force in 1964-68, had several jobs after discharge and worked as a draftsman for General Electric for 25 years until his retirement in December 1999. Gene and wife Kathleen had been married 39 years and lived in Morrison, Ill. Other survivors included children Nicol, Andrew and Lisa; and grandchildren Jacob, Riley, Collin, Macie and Cara.
