About	Ted, who lived in Lewisville, Texas, the past 27 years, died at age 68 on Feb. 26, 2015, after a long battle with lung and bone cancer. He was born June 23, 1946 in Johnstown, Pa., to William Papaila and Clara Jo Walters Papaila. He grew up in Indianapolis, where he attended Broad Ripple, then Indiana and Butler universities. He served our country in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Ted was an entrepreneur at heart and had many careers throughout his life, from teaching middle school math and science to vice president in an international communications firm. He was Managing Partner of AirCall Communications in Modesto, Calif., from 1981-88, when he was bought out by a firm later known as Nextel. Survivors included his wife Kay, daughters Melissa and Elizabeth and son Stephen, and three grandchildren.
