| About Me | I married Sharon Pemberton in 1966 and we divorced in 1979. Our daughter, Heather, lives near Naples, Florida and has two children, a boy and a girl, who are now grown. I remarried and my current wife and I had triplets (two girls and a boy) in 1999 (at my age 55) which keeps me young. My sister, Pat, passed away at Age 80 in 2014 and my brother Bill passed away at Age 80 in 2017. As for my working career, I spent a lot of years in College and Graduate School and taught for 5 years. Thought I was going to be a College Professor (my parents thought I was going to be a perpetually broke student-teacher). However, I changed careers in 1980 and went to work as a financial advisor in the Washington, D.C. area for a company called VALIC. In 1990, VALIC moved me to Phoenix where I was the Regional Vice President for the Southwest and then in 1994 moved me to the Home Office in Houston where I became Senior Vice President of Institutional Marketing. From there, I moved to New York City in 1999 where I became Chief Marketing Officer of The Global Retirement Services Divison of AIG. In 2001, I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as Senior Vice President of Investment Products and Services for Northwestern Mutual where I retired as an Executive Officer in 2008. In the Summer of 2010, my family and I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to enjoy "retirement." However, I've kind of failed at retirement since I am still actively working with a small group of financial planning clients providing them with Retirment Income Distribution Tax and Investment Advice.
