Favorite School Memory	Scholastic Bowl (sophomore through senior years), particularly the many Saturdays spent at tournaments. Most notably Class A 2nd Place in 1994 and Elite Eight in '95 (both held in Carlinville), and out-of-state tournaments at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo (Oct. 1994) and at Disney World (Panasonic Academic Challenge--June 1995) (the latter we only found out that we were invited to participate in TEN days after graduation and with two weeks to prepare). About Me	I attended Monmouth College from 1995-1999 (obtaining my bachelor's degree in History in May 1999, Magna Cum Laude). After a brief summer 1999 stint in Springfield as an intern with the Illinois Department of Public Aid (Bureau of Long Term Care), I moved to Macomb in August 1999 to attend graduate school at Western Illinois University. I was a full-time student at WIU from 1999-2002 (while being introduced to archival work during my studies as an intern during 2000-2002 with the Illinois Regional Archives Depository at Western Illinois University, overseen by the Illinois Secretary of State's Office--Illinois State Archives). I completed my master's thesis in Spring 2003 and received my master's degree in History. I moved to Springfield to begin my full-time career in state government on September 9, 2002 with the Secretary of State's office (and as a Records Archivist with the Illinois State Archives since August 2006). I am also active with my local church in Springfield (West Side Christian Church) and its Singles and Young Adult ministries; and have also done volunteer work with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, as well as volunteer research projects with the Springfi...(read more)
