About Me	In the 70's my husband (ex) and I lived in Florence, Italy for 3 years while he did a Masters in Restoration of Painting and Sculpture and I apprenticed to a Florentine Master Bookbinder and Restorer. Turning the pages of my history: also lived in Honolulu (Univ of Hawaii), London, and a couple of decades in Rochester where I had my bookbindery in the Genesee Co-op on Monroe Avenue. Now, as a Master Bookbinder, I specialize in restoration and conservation of rare books for individual customers at my Chapel Hill bookbindery. Also "turned the page" and came out which brought the loveliest woman, Karen, into my life. She is a highly accomplished guitar performer (classical and electric....get this...she has her own band!) Decided to "get the jump" on early semi-retirement and we moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2007. This amazing place fits me perfectly...sweet gentle weather with clear blue skies nearly every day, socially and politically progressive folks who have moved here to participate in and share a town where people treat each other with respect and kindness, and flowers all year round.
