John and 46 fellow sailors were tragically killed aboard the USS Iowa on 19 APR 1989. There was an explosion in gun turret#2. He was only 20 years old. RIP.

Our Briggs High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
