About Me	Although I enjoyed a variety of early career experiences, I medically retired in 2010 after a great 30+ years in banking industry. While the majority of my time was related to advertising and marketing, my final assignment was the best: the creation of an electronic banking division including hardware and software review and conversions, office space design, staff recruitment and hiring, as well as the implementation of internet banking and expansion of related electronic payment systems. The early days included the creation of both the bank's website and intranet systems. Now retired on disability due to myasthenia gravis and lupus, I miss my coworkers and customers. I still maintain contact with several of my international customers, and it's interesting to get their take on how our country is perceived abroad and how small the world has become. I loved being active in our community as a Rotarian, Chairman of the Board of both a multi-county chapter of the American Red Cross as well as our local Chamber of Commerce and active participation in many other civic projects. Now I'm living quietly in a rural area just north of Athens GA, home to UGA. My husband and I try to get back to Bridgeport at least once a year. I miss...(read more)
