Christi was diagnosed with Liver failure 2 years ago, brought on by HELLP syndrome during pregnancy...She fought strong and finally met her demise in May of '09. We love you Christi and will miss you.
Graveside service for Christina Nichole Fitzgerald-Grothe, 24, of Bridgeport was to be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Willow Point Cemetery with Monty Tuttle officiating. A memorial service was to be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Central Fellowship Church in Decatur.
Fitzgerald-Grothe died Monday, May 25, 2009, in Bridgeport.
Born Jan. 25, 1985, in Bridgeport to Adam Fitzgerald and Sharon Gilmer Grothe, she was a member of Central Fellowship Church. She attended Bridgeport High School.
She is survived by a son, Dustin Brooks, and his adoptive parents, Robby and Dana Brooks; mother, Sharon Grothe and husband, Jimmy, of Cottondale; her father, Adam Fitzgerald and his wife, Lorena, of Azle; grandmothers, Dell Keith, Joyce Fitzgerald, JoAnne Parker and Gloria Shephard; grandfather, Pat Keith and wife, Pam; brothers, Michael and Robby Grothe and Adam Fitzgerald; sisters, Montana and Sierra Duvall, Amanda Fitzgerald and Amber Richards; and an aunt, Linda Gitlin.
