New Book On Ohio Wrestling Includes Stories About Bridgeport Wrestlers

What happens when Dellinger Award winning writer Jim Kalin interviews America’s greatest wrestlers about one of the most legendary coaches in any sport, National Wrestling Hall of Fame member Mike Milkovich? The result is Mustang.

Milkovich was only the third high school coach ever to be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and his Maple Heights Mustangs captured ten Ohio State Championships and finished runner-up eight times.

This book includes stories and anecdotes involving Bridgeport and their infamous 1955 dual meet and the rivalry with Maple Heights. Legendary Bobby Douglas appears often, as does Walter Tolarchyk, Tom Evans, and Ronald Taylor.

Clark Family Reunion

The Clark Family will be holding its family reunion on June 25-28 2009 at Olgebay Park. Family members that attended Bridgeport High are George Clark class of 1958, Merrilyn Clark class of 1960, Melvin Clark class of 2003,
Sherrod and Gregory Clark class of 1967 and Charlotte Clark class of 1966.
