Barry served 22 years in the United States Marine Corps reaching the rank of 1stSgt (E-8). Barry was a combat veteran of Grenada, the First Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom. After retiring, Barry became a Correctional Officer with the Washington Department of Corrections.
