About Me	In June 1966. At age 19 I joined the Marine Corps. Following Boot camp at Parris Island and advanced infantry training at Camp Lejeune I transferred to Marine Air Detachment, NATTC, and Naval Air Station Memphis, TN for aviation training. My first duty station was HMH-461, Marine Air Group 26, 2nd. Marine Air Wing MCAF New River, Jacksonville, N.C. In February1968 I was transferred to HMH-463, MAG 16, 1st. MAW, FMF Pac. I was stationed at Marble Mountain Air Facility, RVN until December 1969. I then went from DaNang Vietnam to Okinawa, Japan back to HMH 363, MAG 56, 3rd MAW, MCAS (H) Santa Ana (LTA), CA. Where I was released in June 1970 as a sergeant E5.. Received an FAA airframe and powerplant license and an FCC radio & telephone operator’s license in 1973 from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa Oklahoma. Moved to Hartford Connecticut for a job with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. I spent eight years in the Army National Guard, Co. A 26th Avn. BN HHC 43rd Bde. In 1990 I was attached to Det. 1 Ct. AVCRAD and was activated for Operation Desert Storm. After deactivation I was transferred to the Inactive ready reserve as a Staff sergeant E6 until my enlistment was completed. I retired after 30 years in manufacturing with United Technologies in CT. During which time I studied Theology and Counseling before moving to Winter Haven, FL in May 2003. Here I worship at Heartland Community Church and work as a Pastoral Counselor. I am presently a life member in The Marine Corps League Heart of Florida Detachment #1107 where I have served as Chaplain, Jr. Vice Commandant, and Commandant 2005-2006, and Senior Vice-Commandant. I am an ordained licensed clinical Pastoral Counselor with a PhD in Christian psychology, a ThD in Christian Counseling and several board certification specialties with the National Christian Counselors Association.
