From the Sacramento Bee (July 16, 2017): "Ruth was employed by the State of California for 25 years and retired from the Department of Rehabilitation in 2012. Over the next few years, she dedicated her life to caring for her father. Ruth most recently lived in Clear Lake, CA, where she spent most days sailing, swimming or walking her companion Browser around the lake. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one daughter, one brother, two nieces, and one cousin. Ruth's beautiful smile and hearty laugh will be missed by all."
