About	From the Modesto Bee (Dec. 11, 2000): "Martin 'Marty' Anderson, 48, died December 6 at Palo Alto Veterans Hospital. Mr. Anderson was a native of Sandpoint, Idaho. He lived in Groveland (CA) for 15 years. He was retired from the Navy following an injury [severed spine]. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as fire control technician third class on the U.S.S. Horne. He was a member of the Golden State 76ers Wheelchair Basketball team from 1975 to 1983. He was also a member of Tuolumne Masons Lodge 8. He was a past president and Lion of the Year 2000 of Groveland Lyons Club." He enjoyed playing wheelchair basketball and was well-known locally for his cooking and fund-raising barbecues in support of the Lyons Club. He is survived by one brother and three sisters.
