Class of 1982 -Cheri Belghesini Obituary Correction
Cheri Joy Belghesini 47, of Branford came to rest after a long illness on July 9, 2011 in the Amber Woods of Farmington. She will be thought of each day by her parents Joseph N. and Gail LaVorgna Belghesini of Branford, her brothers Joseph and Michael Belghesini of Branford and cousin Daniel McCarthy of Meriden and her many friends. Cheri was born Jan. 11, 1964 in Kileen, TX. Cheri attended UNH where she excelled as well as at the Yale Conservatory of Music. She had a passion for both writing and music. She worked for Echlin Corporate Office in Branford during the 1980's. Cheri's strong belief and faith in god served her well during her years of assisting with Catechism Instruction at the Academy School in Madison. Cheri will always be an inspiration to all who have known her. Her endurance and strength and spirit were beyond compare. Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their lives, and will remember the smile she always wore even during the most difficult of times. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven WEDNESDAY morning at 9:15 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church (Branford) at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call on TUESDAY from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association Middletown Office

On July 9, 2011- Our Beloved Classmate & Friend sadly passed away due to a long battle with Type 1, Diabetes. She truly will be missed by all who knew her, with her never ending smile and strength/endurance beyond in the face of so many obstacles. Services: July 12th Tuesday evening 6pm to 8pm @ Clancy Funeral Home & Wednesday 10am @ St Mary's Church.
