About Me	After high school, I attended the University of Minnesota in Duluth where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Molecular Biology. I also minored in Biology and Applied Mathematics. While attending college, I was fortunate to obtain jobs in my field. I worked as a chemist for the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Superior, Wisconsin. I worked as a Laboratory Technician at the United States Environmental Protection Agency. At school, I was a teaching assistant for chemistry and I did bioinformatics research. I feel very luck to be hired at the Mayo Clinic right out of college. I work as an Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the Molecular Anatomic Pathology Lab. Simply put, I test for cancer and cat scratch fever. My family still lives in Duluth and my sister attends the University of Wisconsin, Superior. This semester, she is studying abroad in Austrailia. ...(read more)
