MINNEAPOLIS -- Alan J. Wallace, age 50, of Minneapolis, formerly of Brainerd, passed away after a short battle with cancer. Preceded in death by father, James Wallace. Survived by mother, Celia, of Brainerd; brothers, Brian and Jeffrey (Laurie); sister, Gail Johnson (Gordy); two nieces, Krista and Nicole; and nephew, Jamie. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, Minneapolis. He was a graduate of Brainerd High School and Minneapolis Art Institute. Special thank you to all his postal friends for their many acts of kindness. Funeral service will be Monday, 1:30 p.m. with visitation Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy, Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd.
