| About Me | Since graduating from Bowen I attended Southern Illinois University and received a B.S.Degree in Communications with a major in Radio/TV. It was a very busy career following college. I received my first full time radio job at WFMT Chicago following graduation and stayed there 9 years eventually becoming Sales Manager. I left WFMT after purchasing an FM radio station in Montana (K99 FM Great Falls) and owned and operated it for 5 years. I sold the station to put a new FM radio station on the air in Eugene, Oregon (home of the University of Oregon) while managing an AM station for owners based in California. After three years I moved to Portland to manage an AM oldies station (KAAR) and about one year later was hired by another California broadcast company to become General Manager of KYTE (AM & FM) a classical music station. Later I moved to Seattle to become an associate in a broadcast brokerage firm representing buyers and sellers of radio properties. But missing the management of radio stations I was offered a General Management position in Spokane, Washington of KKZX (FM) a Classic Rock station and KUDY (AM) a music and news station. Three years later I was hired by a major Seattle media company (The Ackerley Media Group) to become Vice President General Manager of KGON (FM) Classic Rock station and KFXX (AM) a sports talk station in Portland. I also managed there Billboard company in Portland. I was then offered a position in New York as Senior Vice President, managing the National Sales Division for the corporation who owned radio, television and billboard companies throughout the U.S. I then met my wife to be after being a confirmed bachelor and it was love at first sight. I proposed to her in Seattle on one of the billboards my company owned. I was invited that weekend to an event that was for the Seattle Supersonic basketball team that was owned by the company at the time so I thought it was an appropriate time to get engaged. After Ackerley sold the entire company to Clear Channel communications I formed my own media company called Corporate Image Media and later merged with another media company Executive Media Network and became President of the new corporation. After 16 years we sold the company to a major San Francisco media company and I am now retired and living with my wife Jeri in the New York suburb of Chappaqua, NY.
