About Me | I'm not wanting to suddenly wake up one day and realize that advancing age is near, leaving so many things to do and see, with so little time left to enjoy it all. I therefore risk to burn and rave, rage, rage against the dying of the light, that close of days that signals "This is the End". As time marched forward in my life I learned that joy, loss, thrills and pain are always there. It's what you do with it all that makes the difference. As my unique character developed I learned to express myself without compromise, I have become true to self, unfailing in purpose to burn and rave before it's too late and find that I am content with having at least tried. I am considered an inquisitive soul with many questions that can only be answered through further education as well as travel, exploration and experiencing a variety of interests. My inner drive is about freedom, independence and the courage to follow where your heart and gut-instincts lead you in life. I continually seek ways to enhance the quality of my life. My faith in self, god and the future is strong, I live by my conviction that the universe is always unfolding as it should. I continually seek wisdom through study of biblical verse. While not a current spiritual leader I do believe I use my gifts in the manner intended. I believe that action speaks volumes more than words and express my respect and love for others by being a practical down-to-earth friend. I seldom act impulsively when a problem arises; I take my time to think through the situation and will seek to arrive at a win/win situation. While a planned excursion is much enjoyed I do know when to stop, smell the roses and maybe enjoy a bite of ice cream along the way. You will find me a daring spirit that has a love of adventure. I have been known to impulsively break off the beaten path as something unique has caught my eye. The journey is the greater pleasure rather than seeing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Music is a joy and big part of my life, my performing abilities are brass rather than string.A good quiet day is most enjoyed by a day in the kitchen. I enjoy the time spent creating a fabulous meal while interacting with lively conversation, share a glass or two of a good wine, interspersed with some favorite rock/b...(read more) |
