Charles Franklin Mayes passed from this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, at Old Gordon Cemetery.
He was born October 20, 1946, to Ernest Charles and Eva Mae Glanton Mayes. Charles Mayes served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He also served in the Texas Army National Guard. Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW; he was post officer of VFW Post 2399.
Survivors include his children, Raymond L. Mayes and Candee Brossman of Buffalo, OK, Julie A Ritchson and Eddie Wreath of Mutual, OK, Clint A. Mayes and Kimmie Wolff of Mineral Wells, TX; grandchildren, Rusty Ritchson and wife Rachel, Delaynie Mayes, Mackanzie Mayes, Rylie Mayes; and many of family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Lewis.
