About	Kathleen Ann Cornelius, 87, of Borger, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Mrs. Cornelius was born December 20, 1928 in Galveston to Sammuel Nelson Garrett and Annie Kristina (Akerholm) Garrett. Kathleen graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelors and masters degree in teaching. She began her career in 1956 at Borger High School where she taught social studies for 14 years and later taught geography at Frank Phillips College for 39 years. Kathleen was a member of the Daughters of Republic, Magna Charta Dames, and Hutchinson County Genealogy Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings. Mrs. Cornelius is survived by a son, Samuel Cornelius and wife Barbara of Borger; three grandchildren, Denver Cornelius, Alexander Cornelius, and Aubrey Cole; and 4 great-grandchildren, Mikala Lea, Christina Lea, Hannah Lea, and Katie Cornelius.
