USS Richard E Krause DD849, Radio School in Bainbridge MD, 3 Yrs in Rota Spain. Joined the Reserve in 1984. Worked in Pearl Harbor 2 weeks a year. Hard work but somebody had to do it, LOL.

Joined the Army in February 1968 and after basic training was accepted for Army Flight Trainng. Completed flight school and was appointed an Army Warrant Officer and a helicopter pilot. Went to Vietnam and survived that experience. Became an Army Flight Instructor and went back to Vetnam for a second tour in 72-73. Stayed on after the cease fire and Peace Accords to help coordinate POW returns and US Stand Down Operations. Afterwards, was stationed in Hawaii,
and Ft Bragg. Numerous assignments, schools and interesting jobs. Was a member of the US Army Parachute Team "Golden Knights".

Her military education includes Auto Airload Planner, Command Language Program German Head start, Senior Leadership Course, Basic Non Commission Officer Course, Trauma Aims, Basic Instructor Training, Emergency Medical Technician Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Immunology and Allergy Specialty Course. She has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Management through Touro University.
Awards and Decorations include Army Commendation Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Service Medal with Numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon with the Numeral 4, German Schutzshner Bronze Marksmanship Badge. Meritorious Unit Commendation and Army Superior Unit Award.

Our Boonton High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
