It matters not the year, the era, the heroic--if so be the distinguishing factor of judgment. The mere fact that an Alumni of this great institution has survived the trials and tribulations of life as it has been presented in the reality of adulthood, combined with the medical challenges and economic challenges facing an era in American history in which our country and its Presidency has been tested, while the citizens who have to live under the relative circumstances have held their breaths, but moved on, the distinction of being still here is a distinction within itself. There are a lot of other countries who are not as fortunate to have such leadership, and whose leaders are chemically killing them. Even worse, there are a lot of communities in the United States in which a person can not walk out of their front door without the high probability of becoming an obituary the next day. Cancer is on a rampage. Aids, HIV, and STD is controlled and marketed; but no less of a killer. Diabetes is also still killing. And when you add up the factors which have made burials less marketable, and ash funerals quicker and simpler, the value of human life descends. Absolutely, positively, unequivocally, the most Distinguishing Alumni is The Living Alumni!
