David Daniel Standley
OGDEN - Our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, David Daniel Standley, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
David was born November 19, 1988 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Brady D. Standley and DeAnn Gallegos-Standley.
He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School in 2007, where he was a devoted friend and choir member.
David was a loving and outgoing person who made friends wherever he was.
He had a great love and passion for music. David composed several musical pieces without any formal training. He was a gifted singer and pianist with a soft, warming voice. He was also a talented writer and composed several touching poems.
David is survived by his parents; his brothers Corbin and Quade Standley; grandparents, Daniel and Patricia Gallegos, Douglas and Verla Standley, and Ronald and Jane Nelson.
Also surviving are uncles, Daniel and Duane Gallegos; his aunt, Kari (Don) Peck; and many cousins.
David was preceded in death by his biological father, Brian Roy Nelson, and his great-grandparents.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph''s Catholic Church, 514 a€" 24th Street, with Father Ken Vialpando officiating.
Family will meet friends at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. with Prayer Service held at 7 p.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
