Rev. Stan Hoobing, retired

Since 2002 I have been doing interim ministries in the state of Montana. I retired in late 2018 and came home to undergo medicial treatments.

"Have Sermon Will Travel"

After graduating from BHS in 1960, I went on to Boise Junior College and earned an AA in liberal arts, then went to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and earned a BA in Sociology. In 1968, I graduated from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California and was ordained into the Lutheran ministry in December of 1968. From 1969 to 2002, I served several different congregations in Washington and Oregon. Since the fall of 2002, I have been an interim pastor serving six different congregations in the states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. My last assignment was in Orofino, ID. When I am not serving a church I am home in Boise enjoying my wife and our home. Stan Hoobing, Class of 1960
