| About Me | Following high school I spent four years in the United States Navy, most of it in Hawaii (actually under the water in a submarine). I became a Non-Commissioned Officer on board the nuclear-powered fast attack submarine USS Bremerton (SSN-698). I piloted and controlled depth of the multi-billion dollar submarine. I was also responsible for research, ordering, receiving and continuous inventory of parts for preventive and corrective maintenance items for the largest work center on the USS Bremerton. My primary job was as a mechanic on auxiliary systems. In college I was hired as the football beat writer for the school paper. I later was hired as the Sports Editor.
