Julius Balogh passed on December 21, 2025, at age 87 years, in Austintown. Since Julius’ family fled Hungary, Julius did not begin school until he had learned English. Therefore he was older by a couple years than most of his classmates. He was very intelligent and became an expert on opera, the literary classics, world history and politics. He was known as a compassionate saint to many people who were in need, providing rides to drs, saw they had food, essentials and attended social events. Lonely and isolated people especially benefitted from his kind companionship when they the became ill or faced death alone. Julius held positions in well known businesses. He was a respected and valued leader in the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown for many years. He leaves no family, just devoted friends.
