Janaia passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on April 12, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she had been living since 2004. She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Shelley Johnson, her sister, Jade, and her fiancé, Antwon Bynum and his daughter, Jayla.
Janaia's survival of cancer as a teenager contributed to her spontaneity and appreciation of life. She knew no strangers and always found a positive spin for any situation. Her family encourages each of you to live by her example. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
