About Staff Sergeant John E. Bowers the son of Paul Baxter Bowers and Georgia Mae (Whitaker) Bowers, passed peacefully on March 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife, family, and his devoted caregiver Jay Cardwell.

John devoted over 20 years of his life serving his country in the United States Army. John served his country honorably and obtained several achievements. John was thankful for his opportunity to perform the duties of a Drill Sergeant. John was a very proud and professional Drill Sergeant. He worked at RCA/Thompson for 30 years. He transferred to GE and retired from Baxter Pharmaceutical. John loved going to garage sales on the weekends and took much pride in his beautiful flowers he planted for his wife Cindy.
