Jody was a 9 time All-American in college and went on to race professionally for twenty years. During her professional career she won 4 United States National Championships and set the American Half Marathon Record at the World Championships in Zurich, Switzerland. Jody made a total of 8 USA Teams. Her eight team was made at the age of 40, which is a testiment to her longevity in the sport of running. After turning 40, she became a masters runners and has already won two more National Championships and is the current American Record Holder in the 3,000m indoor.
Last week she was notified that she is being inducted into the Texas Distance Runners Hall of Fame.
