| About Me | My family and I are now living in Christiansburg, VA after living my entire life in NJ. Married for 30 years to someone I met from my part-time high school job at McCrory's. Jeannine and I started dating at 17 and have been together ever since. Worked at Hoffmann-La Roche in Nutley, NJ for almost 30 years before our department was closed. Worked all 30 years in the same department, Biopharmaceuticals. My last job there was as a shift supervisor in our cGMP production facility making Zenapax for kidney transplants. I was in charge of the Cell Lab producing mammalian cells used to inoculate bioreactors to produce a human protein. Since 2007 we have been living in VA. I am employed at a biotech company in Blacksburg, VA. It's on Virginia Tech's corporate research center. Everything we do is for cancer research, we're hoping to find a cure. I still grow mammalian cells, just lots of different ones. Got caught in one of MANY layoffs at Intrexon at the end of January 2013. Thankfully I was only without a job for less than two weeks.
