| About Me | I am currently retired. In the recent past I was a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) civil servant working at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) as the Chief System Engineer in the Office of Low Earth Orbiting Observations (LEO) providing technical oversight of the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) and providing recommendations on development of the Near-Earth Orbiting Network (NEON). Prior to that, I was the Instrument Systems Manager on the JPSS Flight Project. I managed development of the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS), the Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instruments on the NOAA polar orbiting weather satellites.
