About Me	I am a native of South Carolina and spent time part of my childhood growing up on the campus of New Orleans Baptist Seminary where my parents prepared for the ministry. I graduated from Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, SC in 1969; graduated from Gardner Webb University with a degree in psychology in 1973 and married in the fall to Marion "Monk" Williams. We have two children, Elizabeth who is married to Abe Arrillage , a wonderful trama surgeon and they have five children. My son Russ is married to beautiful and smart Monica and they have one son. My career has been been in commercial real estate. I specialize in the leasing and managment of shopping centers in the southeast United States. My life took a direct hit when I was diagnosed with Wegener's in February 2010. I said I would not let it define me but I would take it as a Gift from God. Wegener's is an auto immune disease that attacks the blood vessels of my sinus, lungs and kidneys. It is rare with only about 200,000 people having it in the US. It is not genetic and what causes it is unknown. I have good doctors who guide me through my flares and give me the drugs I need to make me more comfortable. I am blessed to have been born with lots of energy so I have been slowed down in my day to day activity but I laugh because I am still able to do more than the average person!
